Deep Cut Atlas — Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 27, 2026
Deep Cut Atlas is an iOS app made by Imperfect Systems. This policy explains what the app does — and doesn't do — with your information.
The short version
- Deep Cut Atlas does not collect your personal data.
- Your music library and listening history stay on your device and within Apple's services. We never receive them.
- Your settings and your "Not Interested" list are stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, sync privately to your own iCloud — not to us.
- There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party data sharing.
- There are no accounts to create and no servers that collect your data.
Apple Music access
With your permission, Deep Cut Atlas uses Apple's MusicKit to read your Apple Music library — the artists you follow, your recently played music, and your playlists. It uses this to find new releases from artists you already listen to and to manage a "to check out" playlist you choose. This processing happens on your device. Imperfect Systems does not receive, store, or have access to your library or listening history.
You can revoke Apple Music access at any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security → Media & Apple Music.
Data stored on your device and in iCloud
The releases you dismiss ("Not Interested"), your in-app settings, and the playlist you link are stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData. If you use iCloud, this data syncs through Apple's CloudKit to your own private iCloud database so it follows you across your devices. It lives in your Apple account — Imperfect Systems cannot see or retrieve it.
Purchases
Deep Cut Atlas offers an optional one-time "Pro" upgrade through the Apple App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details. Whether you've purchased Pro is determined on your device from your App Store transaction history.
What the app does not do
- No analytics or usage tracking.
- No advertising and no ad networks.
- No third-party SDKs that collect data.
- No user accounts or sign-in.
- No selling or sharing of your data with anyone.
- No tracking of you across other apps or websites.
Children's privacy
Deep Cut Atlas is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
